RANCHI: Emraan Hashmi can be bought for Rs 1 lakh on OLX. This Emraan Hashmi is not the actor, but a high breed goat being sold online for sacrifice prior to Eid-ul-Adha, which will be celebrated on September 13.
The city and online markets are flooded with a variety of sacrificial goats ranging from Rs5,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
Huge goats named after movie stars like Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan or movie characters like Sultan, Dabbang, Rowdy Rathore and others are drawing buyers. Most of these big goats are brought from other states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and cost between the range of Rs50,000 to Rs1 lakh.
Mohd Sajid, a goat seller said, "Salman was sold yesterday for Rs60,000. Sultan is for Rs65,000 and still awaiting its buyer."
However, despite the crowd assembling to look at these big goats, the sale of local, small goats is higher.
