Rio 2016 Olympic Shooting Live: Apurvi Chandela, Ayonika Paul fail to qualify for Final

The Maracana stadium in Brazil hosted one of the most glittering Olympic opening ceremonies on Friday, August 5. Greece led the Olympic parade followed by other countries with the hosts, Brazil, concluding the march-past. A total of 207 countries and a refugee team will be participating in this year’s Olympics. The Indian contingent has sent their largest ever contingent to Rio 2016 Olympics. For India, Apurvi Chandela and Ayonika Paul will kick start the 10 metre air rifle event at the National Shooting Centre. Later in the day, Jitu Rai and Gurpreet Singh will be in action in the 10m air pistol event.
Apurvi and Ayonika, will be looking to impress with their performances in their debut Olympics. The Indian shooting teams are highly motivated by the presence of experienced duo in Abhinav Bindra and Gagan Narang.
