Varun Dhawan's "Dishoom" has made a decent collection at the Indian box office in its second week and its 14-day domestic total is inching closer to the Rs. 70 crore mark.
The John Abraham and Varun Dhawan starrer did not have any big competitor in its second week. The movie was withdrawn from some screens due the release of small budget movies like "Fever," "Budhia Singh Born To Run" and "The Legend of Michael Mishra."
The Rohit Dhawan-directed action film collected Rs. 53.34 crore at the Indian box office in its opening week. The movie witnessed a steep decline of over 70 percent in its second week and the reduced screen count was one of the main reasons for the drop in its collection in the domestic market.
"Dishoom" has collected Rs. 14.63 crore nett at the Indian box office in its second week, taking its 14 day domestic total to Rs. 67.97 crore nett. Bollywood trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Dishoom [Week 2] Fri 2.30 cr, Sat 3.40 cr, Sun 4.35 cr, Mon 1.30 cr, Tue 1.21 cr, Wed 1.08 cr, Thu 99 lacs. Total: ₹ 67.97 cr. India biz."
"Dishoom" has earned Rs 67.97 crore by the end of its second week at the box office. This is not great, but definitely a decent given the fact that it is being/will be sandwiched between two big ticket films – "Mohenjo Daro" and "Rustom" -- both of which released on Aug. 12.
