Chennai rains are here to stay for another 48 hours

According to Skymet Weather, Chennai rains have extended their plan to stay for some more time over the city. All thanks to the development of a fresh weather system near the state capital.

A fresh cyclonic circulation seen as an upper air system has developed over South Tamil Nadu and adjoining Comorin area.

The system will bring scattered light to moderate Monsoon rain and thundershowers over the coastal areas of the state including Chennai. This rainy spell is likely to continue for at least next 48 hours. Thereafter, intensity of rains will reduce significantly and gradually dry and humid weather condition will make a comeback over the city.
